1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AegisClip ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and the developer of AegisClip ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

AegisClip is a clipboard management application for macOS that provides the following core functionalities:

• Clipboard history management and organization
• Auto-paste and step-paste functionality
• Text editing and format cleaning
• Tag management and search capabilities
• Data import/export in CSV format
• Local data storage for maximum privacy

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your Mac devices for personal or commercial use.

This license does not grant you any rights to: (a) resell, distribute, or sublicense the App; (b) modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works; (c) remove or alter any proprietary notices.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

• Use the App to store, process, or transmit illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or infrastructure
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations while using the App

4.2 Data Management

You are solely responsible for the content you copy and store using the App. You must ensure you have the right to copy and store any content, and that such content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

All clipboard data is stored locally on your device in a secure sandboxed environment. We do not transmit, store, or access your data on any external servers.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The App and all related materials, including but not limited to software, graphics, text, and documentation, are protected by intellectual property laws and are the exclusive property of the developer or its licensors.

All trademarks, service marks, and trade names used in the App are the property of their respective owners.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

7.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

8. Updates and Modifications

We may update the App from time to time to improve functionality, fix bugs, or add new features. Updates may be delivered automatically through the App Store or may require manual download.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Termination

You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the App from your devices. We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice.

Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will cease immediately, and you must stop using the App and delete all copies from your devices.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the relevant arbitration association.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms will remain in full force and effect.
